For the fellas- I present my “I don’t swing that way  but dang, there’s just something about these ladies” post.
There are women in this world I just find compelling. Be it some energy they give off, a persona they reflect in on or off screen, or by just being enviously beautiful.

I can bring home the bacon, fry it up in the pan, kill a zombie and make you feel like a man because I’m Milla

I first present my biggest girl crush of all time. She’s charming, nerdy and has a pretty obnoxious laugh.  But it’s the eyes, the accent, the widow peak, the hair, the legs- damn skippy I’m talking about Miss Zombie Annihilator herself, Milla Jovovich.  I think if I ever met her I would just squeak out the words  “Multi pass” and pass out.   I love that she’s become an action heroine and found a niche in movie world.  She’s no thespian but she has given a few a solid performance such as  in The Claim. She also can deliver a zippy one liner. I also have to admit I can 100% believe that Milla would indeed be capable of whooping some zombie ass.
From my guilty pleasure file (get your mind out of the gutter, I mean One Tree Hill) I offer Sophia Bush.

She’s hypnotizing you right now into watching seasons 1-5 of One Tree Hill

Her character Brooke had Joe Manganiello before Sookie ever got to him.   Sophia  held her own (for awhile anyway) as the goth girl in Stay Alive and made it through the remake of Hitcher.  I would have posted a picture from the end of Hitcher, but I realized I’ve been posting a lot of pictures of people holding guns lately and maybe I should take a break from that. Unfortunately I couldn’t find a picture of her holding a puppy to bring some balance.  I think Sophia has a genuine smile that can quickly change to a vicious glare (as seen in OTH).  My evil glare cringes with envy in the shadow of hers.  Milla may have her Eastern European accent but Sophia has that gravel tinged voice that makes you want to drink a fine scotch.  I should also acknowledge she is quite the humanitarian and very beautiful on the inside too.

She’s perfected a whole new category- geeky/sexy- she’s geexy

Now for the uber geek girl icon-  Felicia Day. A woman I would believe was sitting on the couch Saturday night, eating popcorn and watching a Syfy original movie too, by choice.   From playing Vi the potential slayer on Buffy to building a DIY geek empire with The Guild, she’s become someone to admire . She’s a red haired, geek approved hottie. She makes me feel less self conscious about being pasty white.  A woman a girl would want to be friends with and a guy would wanna…well…put the moves on while watching the Syfy original movie.
We’ll be back with some ladies to balance the next “for the ladies” installment, so don’t worry fellas! If you have a suggestion, let us know!

My long time girl crush has always been Liv Tyler. She’s not the greatest actress, but she’s not horrible. Everything about her is striking: the breathy voice, the tall lanky body, the gorgeous hair, the peaches and cream skin, the big blue eyes and of course those famous Tyler lips. She manages to look, gorgeous, natural, innocent, edgy and classy all at the same time and come on – she’s Arwen. I had so much trouble choosing a pic to post here so here are a few:
