Just got back from Prometheus and it did not disappoint. You can find my review by clicking here. Below are the trailers shown in my theater before the movie. Note – I did not see the 3D version and that almost always means different trailers from those do. As always, I’ll put them in the order of my enjoyment/enthusiasm and leave out the ones I have covered in other ‘Before the Movie’ posts.

While old timey gangster movies have lost a bit of their appeal for me since the glut of them in the 80s and 90s, the cast of this one wins me over. I’m still fuming over the fact that Gosling didn’t get nominated for an Academy Award for Drive and he makes my list of “I’ll see whatever that guy is in…except The Notebook.”

I had my doubts about this movie, but this trailer is just really, really funny.

A drama centered on the long-term friendship and partnership between two cops.
I love Jake Gyllenhall as much as the next girl, but I’ll likely save this one for DVD. It looks well-done, but cop dramas don’t do much for me anymore.
They also played the same Savages trailer I’ve seen about 20 times and a new Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter trailer – you can find them by clicking here.
There was also a movie that I have completely forgotten. It’s killing me! Right on the tip of my tongue, but I can’t find it online, either. Probably because I don’t know what I’m searching for. When it comes back to me, I’ll add it.

I won’t ever see The Notebook…ever, either. It was even filmed in my neighborhood and I am staying away. However, of note, on One Tree Hill, there are guys who get “Notebooked.” The girls make the guys watch it and instead of “Hey baby let’s get bizzee” the guys turn all “Can we just cuddle?” It’s funny.
And of Watch just looks…well, predictable. Jake G is a hottie and a good actor but this movie just looks like a catch on cable kind of film.
My previews were lame. The same ones I’ve been seeing. Frankenweenie (which looks cute but 3x is enough to see the same trailer), Savages, and The Possession.
I haven’t seen The Possession trailer yet! I want me some JDM!
